Shademaster is a classic thornless honeylocust selected for an upright, vase-shaped form and fine, fern-like foliage. It reaches about 45 feet tall and 35 feet wide, matching your listing size of 45×35. Branches ascend, then spread, giving a slightly rectangular outline that is easy to prune for traffic clearance.
The doubly compound leaves are light and airy, casting soft dappled shade that lets grass grow underneath. Foliage is medium to dark green in summer and turns a clean yellow in fall. The tiny leaflets filter down between grass blades, so fall cleanup is minimal.
Unlike the species, Shademaster is thornless and nearly seedless, so there are no dangerous spines or long messy pods. It is a tough urban tree—handling drought, heat, compacted soil, and air pollution once established. Use it as a street tree, lawn shade tree, or in parking lots where a larger, messier tree would not work.
